Colon Hydrotherapy Procedure
What to expect
If it is your first visit you will be asked to complete a personal health questionnaire, this will enable the Therapist to ascertain whether it is safe to carry out the treatment and to provide some clear aims to the treatment. Please complete this questionnaire as honestly as possible
Once this has been discussed with yourself and the Therapist you will then be asked to wear a gown, your modesty will be maintained at all times. You will lay on your back for a short while and then you will be asked to turn over onto your back with your knees raised. Your therapist will ensure that you are kept informed of her actions throughout and will openly encourage questions during this time. You do not have to lay in silence you are actively encouraged to ask questions throughout the colonic treatment. At this time you will receive abdominal massage from the therapist, This is to help break down the putrefied material and encourage it’s release. During the treatment you will experience ‘strange’ sensations. This is a build up of pressure which is controlled by the therapist which is increased and released throughout. After several colonic treatments usually you begin to appreciate the sensation and can even begin to ‘like’ it. The sensations are not painful, just difficult to describe.
After the treatment the Therapist who will inform you of her findings and offer further advice regarding bowel management.
